I am very new to these forums and new to owning a shelby. So if my question has been answered many times before I apologize in advance. I recently bought a 09 gt 500 and am looking to get a little more rumble out of it. I have been doing a little bit of research and for the time being I just want to go with mufflers. What are my options? I want to go with stainless...

    Rmg32,
Do a search here and over on the Ford GT500 forum.
    http://www.fordgt500.com/forums/index.php
There have been several discussions on exhaust in general and mufflers in particular.

There were several opinions on that. Some had problems with drone at certain speeds/RPM.

I bought the FRPP 5GT axle-backs and while I really like the sound, they do drone in the 2,000 RPM area. :grrr:

Seriously thinking about the Cervini's side pipes, but would like to hear them 1st.

    Good Luck!

I went with SLP Loudmouths on my '07 GT500. Nasty snarl at startup, loud when you're hard on the accelerator but liveable when cruising.

So the SLP loudmouth doesn't have any problems with lack of back pressure? Because all the ones that I see have no muffs, if they don't have any problems I would def. consider those.

I haven't noticed any problems from lack of back pressure or anything else. I love 'em.

I own a custom exhaust shop and we put on 50 stainless steel Flowmasters with 3 1/2 rolled stinless steel tips.Great sound and not too loud. You can contact me if you would like pictures.
