two thoughts come to mind : (1) golden675 is like a goldenparachute
package, or a golden shill..........OR......(2) not knowing the details of
proxy bidding, but would this possibly be an example of someone having
placed a high proxy bid and then when someone ELSE places a bid below the
proxy max, the proxy keeps UPPING the ante til it reaches its max, thus
looking like Golden was playing games. I placed several bids once for an
item, each time it said my bid was not high enough as i had been outbid. i
gave up. my bid never showed. but someone elses did in succession like this
persons bid. as it was told to me afterwards, the person outbidding me had a
high proxy, or higher than i was going to bid, and the bid history looked
like this one. now, i dont know if i was fed bs or not, so if someone here
is ebay savvy relative to proxy bidding, i would welcome the chance to get
informed. bill, not always the sharpest knife in the drawer, but willing to
    be sharpened

    eBay item 4557147048 (Ends Jun-20-05 14:40:49 PDT) - Ford : Mustang

WHO is "golden675" and WHY has he/she bid this auction up $20K above the
next-highest bidder? Or do I really need to ask? Or...am I missing
    something here?
