I bought some replacement bushings for the clutch pedal support brace and the guy said they go big side in(with retainer rings inside). is this correct?
Nope. Flip 'em around. And you'll have to grind down a bit of the big washers if you expect the clip rings to go in the groove. And forget about the wavy washers in the kit. You can get the rubber clutch pedal stops now, too.
Thanks, My kit didn't come with washers,not even wavey ones. Where are they placed? My original bracket was rerigged with a welded nut that the pin rode on. So, I found this excellent used brace and trying to put it back together right.
The large stamped washers need to be ground down somewhat, I have found if you grind them so the rounding on the washer becomes flat, you can get the snap rings to seat in the groove. You have to get creative when prior owners let things go too far:
