    Were the insides of 68 quarter or roof scoops blacked out? How about the body panel, which can be seen through the opening? How does this compare to other years?

    Mine where not blacked out on my KR.

    1968 shelbys had the front openings of the upper scoops and the lower scoops should be blacked out

    I assume that includes the portion of the quarter panel visible within the opening?

    It does, the blackout was done after the scoops were mounted.

    I'll bet that makes original applications a bit sloppy.

    Not really. They used a mask that was inseted into the scoop.

    I've found it on most colors, I could be wrong but don't recall seeing it on black or darker colors? Chris

    I've never restored an original paint black car so I can't say for sure. Different plant but I've seen pinch weld blackout on highland green and black cars
