I ordered a replacement suspension for my 67 gt350 and the arm I recieved has 3 rivets holding the ball joint in place, as where my original has 4 bolts holding the ball joint. Does it matter, will the 3 rivet fit? I have pics, the one in the bag is new. Thanks
Originally your car would have come with 4 rivets (the bolt in ball joint was an aftermarket repair at some point) Will the 3 rivet work - I believe so but why would you want to spend the dollars to purchase new and not get the original style? Sorry just have to ask The one in the bag looks like a cheap overseas repo. - are you buying the lowers also? IF so are they the welded ones? - Guys have had issues with those coming apart
They're easy to find if you have the right catalog. Glazier Nolan calls the 67-69 4-bolt control arms G05135. The most expensive of the choices, but it you want to be "correct"… You can use the 3-bolt replacements, if you don't care about originality, but most Mustang suppliers don't know you need to use the 70-73 suspension bumpers with them.
On the lower control arms, the ones that are welded, can you see the weld ? if so, then I would have to reject them & look elswere . [ sorry if I highjacked your post. ]---S.
