Re: Ford GT prices?

Discussion in 'Shelby Mustang List' started by Chris Tann \(chris@christann.com\), Jun 24, 2005.

  1. Hi all,

My thoughts on the Ford GT are that some people are buying them as a
driveable investment. Will the GT sell for $270k today? No. Will
it _some_ day? Undoubtably. The question is, when? How long did
it take GT500's to stop depreciating, and then appreciate back
up to original sticker price? It would be a very interesting study
to graph the market price over the years...

If the GT is going to follow the same trend (and I am not saying that it
will), then by 2020 they might be worth what you paid, and by
2040, they might be worth $3-4 million... Hmmm, I wonder if I can
get a tax-break if I buy one and call it my 401k plan? ;^>

    Regards,
    Chris.
