Hey, I'm very new here and VERY new to the GT500.

I've grown up in a very "import" dominated area. Most of my friends ALL drive Hondas and have even tried to get me to go Japanese.

I want a GT500. That is all i want, and that is all I'm going to get.

I'm currently looking at a 2007 and I'm very serious about buying it. I know newer is _almost_ always better when it comes to cars, but i wanted to know what the main differences were between the 2007 and 2010 models.

    Thanks.

I think really the main difference is the skin of the car to be honest. For the most part, i would buy the cars that u like the looks of better above anything else. Also, it depends on what u are buyin gthe car for. For example, the interior is far more luxurious in the 2010 then in previous models. However, most of the updates to the new GT500 consist of those done by shelby on the GT500KRs from 08-09. Sure, there are tons of other updates to the new car, but its all pretty much the same platform. this is why i say go for the look u want. If you want the upgraded performance (a slight upgrade if any) of the new car, yet u like the earlier stang's looks more, buy an 07 and u can purchase the power pack that came on the KRs, and essentially on the 2010, and you have a car that is already almost the same performance wise, and less the wieght gain of the new car that is always an issue with the mustang. Besides, if you buy the older car, u can update it with performance upgrades that by the point u are paying new car money, you are blowin the doors off the new car, runnin circles around it for that matter. It all really depends on what u want to use the car for tho.

    Best,
    Vern

What Verne said is true,,,but in your search don't forget to look at ebay and craigslist. There are good deals at both places but do get a carfax report on what ever you buy and buy in person not on line. If you can't see the car do not give anybody any money.
