just bought one new 08 they made 100 of these and 20 convertibles mine is a drop top how do you tell what number production it is....shelby plate says 08sgt2275
call Ford performance group at 1 800 367 3788, with your credit card in hand, and give them your VIN number and for $45.00 or so they will send you a certificate stating what number your car is and how many were made in your color and that sequence too.
I would contact Shelby Autos to see if they kept a more thorough record of their 2008 production line. robin
I think he wants to know what B-J Number he has. His SGT Number is on the Dash Plaque but not the B-J Number. There is a Guy on Team Shelby that owned TWO B-J Shelby's but recently sold one. He may have some insight on the finding what B-J Number you have. He goes by the user name "twobjshelbys".
Yep, here I am... The Barrett Jackson editions started with 08SGT2201 (which is Craig Jackson's car, I saw it last week). So at 2275 yours in #75 in the sequence. The BJ cars were the last of the SGTs produced with the final production done some time in Feb. 2008. If you contact SAI they may be able to give you more info about your build, but the info I got on mine was very sketchy as it was in the middle of changing from one tracking system to another. I did own two of them - bought two sequential VIN numbers, both 'verts, one automatic one 5-speed. Both got Kenne Bell superchargers. The 5 speed (#2228) was donated with proceeds to the Carroll Shelby (Children's) Foundation at the Barrett Jackson auction in January '09. It was there that I bought a Cobra.
Millcreek, I assume you still have the '08 B-J Shelby GT. I just bought #2276 convertible , 5 speed with 1200 miles. I have a copy that shows 100 total units produced with 1 of 28 Manual Trans Convertibles built. Not sure about auto trans. You can find an article on these cars in the Feb. 3, 2009 SHELBY ANNUAL. Each car also came with an autographed photo of Carroll Shelby, Steve Davis, Craig Jackson and Amy Boylan. The original owner of my car was kind enough to send me the photo but the original paper work apparently was lost when traded in. You can register your Shelby at http://registry.teamshelby.com/.
