Need Help with Shelby engine

    I have a engine stored at my parents for the last 15 + years and now not sure what I have. Markings on block are as follows: C7ZX-9425-A, O6AE-H, O6AE-F,, 5K4, 1-5-4-2-6-3-7-8, 427 6. Anyone that can shead some light would be appreciated.:)

    Determining what a FE really is is not an easy task without disassembly Guessing based on what you provided so far

    Markings on block are as follows: C7ZX-9425-A, - Intake manifold

    O6AE-H, O6AE-F,, - Head casting numbers


    5K4, - From ????? Decodes Oct 4 1965


    1-5-4-2-6-3-7-8, - From the top of the intake

    427 6 - From the back of the block, could be a 427 or a 428 (or a couple of other blocks) since Ford reused exterior casting plates fairly often durign the period


    Do those look right so far?

    My brother had stated years ago it was out of a 67' GT500 and 428ci but I was uncertain since it said 427 on the block. Thanks for the response.

    If the engine block has cross bolts on bottom side of block it is a 427.

    Is the intake for two carbs?
    The number indicates to me it's a 67 GT500 intake but
    I can be wrong.
