According to SAAC May 2010 their annual shindig is: August 8-10 – SAAC-35 - NATIONAL CONVENTION - WILLOW SPRINGS, CA I think it will be a wee bit warm in August but you won't have to worry about rain. Tho this seems like a long way off,I'd like to hear what historic Cobras and other Shelby cars will be there. Ironically that is the same track that the GT40s, Cobras and Shelby Mustangs were development tested, in addition to Riverside. You can see a GT40 being driven on the track in one of the documentaries on Shelby.
To Wallace: The tentative dates for SAAC-35 at Willow Springs is May 8-10, 2010, Mother's Day weekend, not August.
That sounds like slightly less warm weather. Is the track going to be the big track or the Streets of Willow? Is the hotel big enough or are some gong to have to stay in Lancaster (about 40 minutes south if I remember).
To WW: All very good questions, I think SAAC will reveal more of that specific info sometime possibly in January. Keep your eyes and ears open for updates.
That would be a great location. It's probably been 20 years since I have been there. I might actually attend. Randall
