Just to put a close to the question of replace or paint the 1969 gas tank, took the plunge yesterday and bought a concours correct gas tank. It is so easy to forget what a resource the listers are when you have a technical question and so, a big THANK YOU for your replies, guidance and gentle prodding. Ron
Gas Tanks Speaking of gas tanks..... I have the original unit out of my KR. It's heavily undercaoted and looks in pretty decent shape. Would you toss? or Would you remove the undercoating, boil out and reseal the inside to have an original tank? Your opinion would be appreciated. Dan
Hey Ronald, Where did you get your tank? I need 1 too.
