In an effort the find more power from my 2010 Shelby, i have been experimenting with high flow aftermarket filters. in this test I'm using the power flow filter.
first impressions after driving 200 miles, less response, less power. I think it's running a little rich, due to too much air reaching the airflow meter(no battery disconnect)

This time i did the battery disconnect thing. after 150 miles it just not as responsive as with the stock filter.
Talking to the tech at the company of purchase. He says that i would need to have it reprogrammed to take advantage of the much higher flowing filter. I think the ECU is set from the factory. more or less airflow will have slightly less performance than stock. Okay you guys can weigh in now.

I know that the 2005 to 2009 V6 Mustang's can be modified easily but, the GT's can't. If you so much as change the Air Filter to a K&N, you have to re-program it or get a Tuner. I can only asume that the 2010's are the same, including the GT 500's.

FYI ,,,anything you want to do to that engine will require a new chip. Call the guys over at Dallas Mustang. They can steer you in the right direction and they even have the folks to install it if you want:)
