The Marti Report lists the following:

8D2630Home Office Reserve ordering district under
    Domestic Special Order Number 2630

Is there any specific information I can utilize from this number regarding the history of the vehicle?

    ERIC-

Looks like a 1968 Shelby DSO to me.

Shelby DSOs do not denote shipping locations. They are batch numbers. Early 1968s have low DSOs, later cars have higher DSOs.

To figure out the shipping location you need a Marti report or the Shelby Club records.

So the short answer to your question is "NO".

On second thought, you might be able to ascertain whether or not the door tag is original. If your DSO is not in the proper sequence with other cars built at the same time, that would be a good clue that the guy that restamped the tag didn't know this information.
