i stopped in to see a friend of mine today who is a tech at a new dealership. he works in a separate building that has 5 lifts and such in it. while i was waiting for him to get back from a test drive i noticed a car raised up on a lift under a car cover at the end of the shop. i didn't pay any attention at all, until after a couple of minutes of waiting, curiousity got the best of me. i figured it was an old GM car being at a partially gm dealer, i noticed the nine inch rear end so decided to have a look. to my surprise it was a 69 mach 1 that is being restored to showroom specifactions, i couldn't believe the detail being put into this car. my friend shows up and says oh yeah a guy that works here owns it, and he has a shelby gt 500 428 cj with factory A-C that has only 14,000 miles on it, it's bubble wrapped in safe storage. the guy bought it way back in the 80's. needless to say i'm intrigued to meet the owner and surely i'd love to see the car. if i do i'll see if he'll let me take pics of the time capsule so i can post them if anybody would be interested in seeing. pete
