Where is a good place to get my steering wheel reconditioned? I used to use a place called automotive specialties. They were in sc. and then moved to fl.
I tried the number and it does not work anymore.

I had my '67 wheel restored by Mike Lempert at Lempert Wheels in SC.He did a very nice job and at a very reasonable price. He did have pics of my finished wheel on his website under the restoration section. He is worth checking out.

automotive specialties closed up about 2 years ago. The owner pasted away. I don't have any suggestions on who to call at this point. Bob

Randal Restorations. 830-995-5237. Talk to David. They do the best restorations out there on 67 wheels, up to replacing the wood.

    Hello,

I also highly recommend David Randal. He did a complete restoration, including new wood, on the wheel for my '67 GT500. I am very pleased with the final result and David was very easy to deal with.

    Best regards,
    Eric

My husband Jeff Stephens has been restoring 1965-1967 Shelby original wood wheels since 1985. If he can help you out in any way, please contact us at 607-729-7553. Jeff has restored almost 500 Shelby wood wheels, and is a cabinetmaker (woodworker) by trade. We also have original Shelby wheels and horn button parts for sale. Jeff is doing work for some of the top shops and dealers in the buisness.
