So what color(s) are you going to order?

I'm thinking Windveil Blue with Performance White stripes or maybe Redfire with Dark Grey stripes or maybe Satin Silver with Redfire stripes (I'm so confused now, there are so many good color combos  ). Black also looks amazingly good but I currently own a black car and have vowed to never do that again.

I really like the silver stripe with just about any color, especially white or grey. I also like Yellow with blue stripes.

Windveil Blue with white stripes would look awesome parked next to my Brittany Blue 67 Shelby!!! Now, if I could only find an extra 40K somewhere.....I would love to at least drive one of the new Shelby's as that 450HP engine must be a total blast to run thru the gears. Does anybody know when they are going to arrive at Dealerships? Or is it still to soon to tell... David

They are talking about a summer of 2006 delivery date. If you really want one, I'd go put your name on a waiting list at an SVT certified dealer near you. The dealerships that sold more SVT product last year will be allocated more GT500's.

It sure was fun to run through the options! Thanks for the link. I personally like the Satin Silver w/ Black stripes, including on the rocker panel. I believe it matches w/ Shelby's original race car scheme. The Ford rep. @ the NYC Auto Show said availability is expected to be Fall of '06.

if yall are wondering who the idiot in the 2005 silver mustang hot rodding around Longview today, that was me. I saw one identical silver on theloop by the mall and figured the cops would stop him thinking it was me. what a hoot of a car to drive. it handles like a go cart. just point and step on the gas..

Wow, that was fun. They need one more option on the stripes - the 67 SuperSnake narrow-wide-narrow style would be striking.

I was thinking the same thing. If Ford does not offer that, I will have the narrow-wide-narrow stripes painted myself.

Thank you for posting this link. I'll take blue w/ white stripes, or white w/ blue stripes, or red w/white stripes...

Are those the true colors going to be offered?

:guitar: I hope those will be the colors offered on my new shelby. Well I hope to get one I have allready put my name on a list and have money down. I luckily got in at #4 on a list of a fairly large dealer. Does anybody have any additional info. On final pricing, hp?

have to try the paint booth

 This thing is cool, I truly hope all those color schemes will be available. It'll be sad to see my 03 cobra go, but you can't pass this car up! Just wish I could switch all the parts to the shelby. But I think I'll go for the original style and leave it be. Except for a little tuning.

I read somewhere, I think it was Motor Trend or some web site that Ford was going to give each SVT dealership a Shelby, and based on the size of the dealership they may get two, and if they were a presedent award winer they would get another, max would be four. It also said that there were ways to become a SVT dealership if you meet the requirements. I sure hope your dealerships go by there list and not sell them on ebay like the GT40.
