I just bought a 2008 Shelby GT, It had 800 miles on it when I bought it so technically it was "used". The dealer had none of the literature the car came with, such as the owners manual, and whatever else comes with it. I would like to know what books it came with and where I can find them, I've scoured the internet to no avail. There were only 2300 of the cars produced, which is probably why I'm having such a hard time. Any help would be deeply appriciated......thanks
The dealership parts department can order you an owners manual. Other literature like a brochure will be harder to come by. There are some dealers in auto literature around at the larger swap meets and on Ebay that would probably be able to help in that regard.
My new 2008 SGT convertible came with a Mustang GT manual and a booklet from Shelby explaining that the car was modified by Shelby. Also if you haven't noticed yet, there is no spare tire in the trunk, just a tire inflater pack. I was told the reason for no spare is because the upgraded wheels are too big to fit in the well.
I was also missing the Shelby supplement for my 07 SGT. I went to my local Ford dealer and they ordered the manual from Shelby. I was told by Shelby that I had to order the manual through a Ford dealership. That was about four weeks ago. I got a call yesterday from my Ford dealer that they should have it in another two weeks. I have also read that the reason for the inflator pack instead of spare tire and jack assembly is weight savings. Rick
