From all the posts I've seen on TEAM SHELBY, including those by Amy Boylan, President of SAI, there don't appear to be any plans for either a 2009/2010 SGT or GT350...I think that in light of the current economic situation that exists, Ford and Shelby are probably not willing to risk having unsold cars sitting in dealer lots like they have already experienced with the 07/08 SGT's and GT500's.
Maybe if Ford would Punish those Dealerships that add an "ADM" on the Cars, they would sell all the Cars.
Wouldn't it be great for the consumer if you could buy direct from the factory and "cut out the middleman" if you so desired???
That would be good for Shelby and Ford also so that way they would get the money return on the vehicle instead of them sitting at the jacked up dealership losing value by the day.
I'm sure that Ford would love to stop dealers from marking up cars nut consumers can't have it both ways. Coming from a car salesman, the POV is quite different. You guys want to show up on the lot and demand thousands of dollars worth of discounts when you're buying a Focus, but you despise a dealer who marks up the hot cars. All things being equal, people should pay MSRP for every car. This way everyone wins.
I know, it's off subject but since we are talking dealers and dealer markups I will say that I like CarMax. They have fair pricing and no hassle. That's a formula worth spreading. I have bought one used car from them and sold two used cars to them. They also have new car dealerships and I noticed that they have very fair pricing that is much lower than MSRP. A quality operation in my opinion. Back to the original subject, I believe that CSM07SGT4589 is correct. Randall
