My 66 gt350 radiator is strange. The top tank is embossed C4ZE W-MO 3 65. The March build is too early for my January production. The strange part is the G2 designation, The G is on a 3/8 inch square brass tag soldered over a M. You have to look closely on one edge to identify the M underneath. The two row core and bottom tank appear original and the lower tank is devoid of an oil cooler. Also the G is recessed rather than raised like the rest of the tank stamping. I saw a similar radiator on a 65 shelby last Sept in Peoria, IL but I didnt get a chance to question the owner. Does anyone have an explanation?

All Shelby 65's I have seen with original radiators have the same marking but the G2 is raised in the tank. As regards a tag with the G2, somebody else mentioned the same thing on some forum but I don't remember where.
You can search here and on SAAC forum and on the HiPo Ekschange forum.

I have personally seen one other radiator like this, although I think it was a Y2, plus heard of two others. Unless it is some crude way to correct a misstamp I have no idea what it means.

Thanks for the picture Jeff. I believe that's the Y2 radiator I mentioned above. Saw it when it was owned by a friend of mine who has since sold it.

Yep, thats it. substitute a G for the Y and thats what I have. I really thought I stumped you guys on this one. Just how extensive is your photo library Jeff? Not a huge effort to conceal the lower text so whats going on with these tanks?

On a bet the DOT took them and laid his pictures end to end and they stretched from the Golden Gate Bridge to the St Louis arch. Jeff is working on being in Columbus Ohio by spring:lol:

Very impressive ,I thought Bob was just joking. Kinda hard to throw a curveball at that resource . I suspect your formulating a response to my radiator question.
