I found a 2009 GT500 with 2000 miles on it at a dealer. I'm having a tough time with the pricing on the car. Edmunds puts the TMV around $37,000. Dealer has it listed at $44,000. Took it for a test drive, came back to talk numbers and they only went down to $42,000, even paying cash. Got the line that they would only make $500 on the deal at that price. I know the car is a great car but when the sales person told me it had 340 HP and I said "REALLY, 340" and he said "that's some real power" I knew he didn't know jack about the car. I asked several questions knowing the answer and he got nothing right. What would a reasonable be offer for this car? And becides Edmunds where can I get good info to back my offer up? Thanks
$500.00 BS what part of the USA are you in? There is a guy on another forum with an untitled new 08 for 38k. I know a guy here in dallas with an 07 with 5k miles for 30k. Offer that guy 39k and walk away and stand by that offer. he will come down. go look at ebay also and look at craigslist in your area.
Thanks, that's exactly what I did the other day and I based my price off of what I've been watching on ebay and such, just wanted to make sure I was not out of line. We'll see what happens, I have all the time to wait being it's a want and not a must have.
