I am hearing that there is a tech bulletin out about an issue with some 07 and 08 Mustang GT's with the 4.6 L V8. It's called “Cam Phaser Tick” The cam phaser moves the cams to adjust the cam timing based on engine RPM’s. It is driven by oil pressure. The fix involved replacing one cam and all the lifters. My 08 Shelby GT intermittently pings during up shifts. I will be taking her to the dealer while it's still under warranty. Has anyone else heard about this issue?
