I have owned my 1970 GT350 since 1972, 86k miles, mostly original and was involved in the SAAC in the beginning stages. We had a convention in Wichita, KS but I don't remember the year. (1974?) Nice to see the evolution of the owners experience as this forum clearly displays.

Thanks Good buy on your car. I would love to get it out and drive but i need a new carb. Had a restoration place work on it and they messed it up pretty well. It has been a year in the chase and still no luck. Hopefully the forum will help.

Welcome aboard, I was at the SOA convention in Wichata in 1975. Drove my KR convertible from Detroit, it's the only time the car was west of the Missisippi.

I have many pictures of that event. At the time I had my 70 350, a 66 GT350 and a 68 GT 350 convertible. That event was pretty well attended for the times. Have not been to one since. what color is your car? I will look at the pictures.

    Welcome to the fold.
John's '68 KR convertible is Dark Green, with a Black interior and Black Top. My '68 GT500 convertible, that I drove from Detroit to SOA III in Wichita, was Dark Green with a Saddle interior and a White top.
(note: John's IS, mine WAS, wish I still had mine, too)

I have owned a number of cars over the years and am old enough to remember seeing the org. GT350 and GT500 in the 1960's and could only dream. I like the new 2011 and have one on order and will look forward to learning new things and tricks about it. I may be old but refuse to grow up :D
