Hello, lately my 2007 shelby gt engine with a 2.6 kenne Bell supercharger has been pinging or in other word knocking. I have been using 91 octane gas with octane booster and this does not seem to help. Does anyone know why it is doing this and how I can fix it? By the way the car only has 6,000 miles on it.

    Thanks

Three things I can think of:

<01> Bad Gas. Are you buying your Gas at the same Station? If so, try changing Stations.

<02> Timing. Take it to the Dealer and have them check it.

<03> Plugs. One or more may be bad.

since you've added a supercharger. you most likely have a tune on it. the tune needs to be set for your elevation. not everyone elses. the timing needs to be retarded some. my experience here in texas.
