black oil pressure gauge on 67 shelby

    My early 67 500 has a plain black[non-greenline] oil pressure gauge.67 shelby registrar says its a replacement.Just curious if anyone has seen this on an original car[unfortunately i didnt get my car until 82 so obviously there is some previous history]...Trent

    Trent ,if you got your car in 1982 that leaves many years for your original gauge to break and be replaced. I concur with the Shelby registrars assessment the the non Greenline gauge is a replacement. I wouldn't stress any over this but I wouldn't waste any time researching this more ether IMHO. Extremely nice reproductions are now available to replace a non stock oil pressure gauge.Bob

    So Bob in your opinion is it worth looking for an original or are the repros good enough??How are the 2 distiguishable??Trent
