Assuming the Z/28 will come out in Fall 2011, and that it will be what people are guessing: about 4000lbs, 556HP LSA engine - what do you think of it compared with the Shelby GT500? Just wondering.

I agree with markboss. I was at the Dodge dealer today getting my truck serviced and saw the new 475 horse Challenger, which I'd love parked next to my '08 GT, though!

You would think that Chevy would learn that looks count more than horsepower. In the mid nineties the Camaro had a bunch more horsepower than the Mustang, yet Mustang out sold Camaro's 3 to 1 or better nearly every year. I think the new Camaro is a mess. A confused bunch of modern and retro touches that are seemingly randomly thrown together. I do think from certain angles it looks O.K. and from most angles it looks awkward and odd.

While it will have monster power a stout driveline, and good handling, we must remember it is still a chevy product and therefore inferior in production quality. Owners may boast about power and performance, but will
then turn around and complain about the $hitty build quality. Brand X may never buy a clue about what America wants out of a pony car, but they can build something fast for the camaro lovers.
Can't remember who said it, but "You can make a piece of shit fast, but then all you have is a fast piece of shit."

The "die hard" bowtie boys will love it, the remainder of us will pay it no attention. It is, what it is. Chevy's late to the dance again, and they brought the ugliest date too.

CHEVROLET "defined" French meaning junk!!!... English meaning running as designed!! also their current motto!! ( personal experience... from their service center ).. Should you have trouble with a purchase...that will be the answer you'll get... Never will buy a GM (government motors vehicle again!!!)

The new Z-28 is not my cup of tea;but Mustang and Shelby fans should recognize the need for it to boost competition.Without it all Ford has to do is update stripes scoops etc and make minor hp tweaks , with it they need to keep up their "A" game and keep bringing it.

I love It! Drove a few at the dealership. What a nicely built sound ride. I was impressed with the power. Actually going to buy one. Waiting on the 0% incentive to come out. Cant wait!

I don't like the styling of it. I think it looks bloated and over-weight, particularly around the C pillar area. The roof line is too chopped, it's out of proportion with the rest of the car. I must admit though, I was driving behind an SS today, and it sounded really sweet!

It's ok, I guess. With compition I believe it makes the aftermarket companies
compete with each other so everyone ends up with more options at a cheaper
    price.
