OK, some jerk hit my SGT while it was parked. Its a light hit on the front right bumper. The bumper has a crimp, and some minor paint damage. It looks like I need a new one and a grill. The adjuster will come out on Tuesday next week and I want to pre order what I need. Does anyone know what I have to do to get a bumper and lower valance? Will Shelby make this a difficult process? and how long will I have to wait.

On another note, it seems this would be a good time to do a rear spoiler. If anyone can suggest a manufacturer and or style that is appropriate for the car please let me know, I'll need the stripes also, any ideas?

So bummed about this, the car has less than 4k on it and some douche bag hits and walks away, some people....!

Your bumper is the same as a California Special;and if memory is correct it costs less if ordered as such.
    Good Luck

The Front Bumper is a Ford item, same as on the California Specials so that is no problem to get. The Grill might also be a Ford item as well as I see them on the "HEAT" models. The Stripe is a Shelby item, you will have a couple of hoops to jump through for those. I Rear Spoiler that looks really good on the SGT is the 2007 to 2009 V6 Spoiler. You might be able to find a "New Take Off" spoiler on Ebay cheap in the same color so you will not need to paint it. The V6 Spoiler fits flush on the Deck Lid but overhangs a bit and it can be seen when looking in the Rear View Mirror but it will not block your view.

Thanks for assist everyone. I have found the bumper through Ford, that should make things a bit easier. The stripes will be a bit of work, What is difficult is to get a good photo for Shelby. The car is black and the damage is minor unless of course your are car freak.. I can't seem to get a photo that acually shows the damage, all the highlights and reflections. I'm going to have to try to get a photo in different light. Of course the damage is very noticable once you see it... my wife says I should live with it, I said I would move out before!

Having this issue has had me looking at rear spoilers also, (why not spray and stripe one while its laid up) Anyway I was curious about stripes for the spoiler and Shelby has indicated I shouldnt and that it will de value the car. I dunno, seems a bit of a stretch to worry about that, what do you folks think? Should I get a rear lid and spoiler and keep my original intact? I would think Shelby could make some money offering a Shelby authorized version.

Cmon Shelby, the car wants a rear spoiler!

If I get a spoiler does anyone know to obtain some stripes to match?

Since Shelby uses the 2007-2009 Mustang V6 Rear Spoiler of the Terlingua and I believe the KR, that is the Spoiler I would use. You can get them on Ebay in your color as "New Take Off's" and there is a very good chance that you wont have to repaint it.

As far as replacement Stripes for the Bumper: The Ford Dealer (or Body Shop) should be able to handle what is needed to get the Stripes. They can Fax them the Repair Order and take Photos of the New Bumper being installed before painting, etc.

Shelby might be able to sell you one Hood Strip which will be big enough to do both Stripes on the Rear Spoiler. Have a Sign Company install them because they work with Vinyl Graphics all day where as a Body Shop only does it when needed. Just my 2 cents.
