    Mike,

I don't know alot about the car, but it WAS bought out of the Portland OR
area a couple months ago, by a dealer in the Salem area. Local Shelby folks
familiar with the car characterized it as a nice, solid car with no "issues" (ie,
no hidden rust or accident damage, not a rebody, correct Shelby parts, etc)--a
nice car to "drive & enjoy".

The dealer removed the (66 optional [real-]wood) steering wheel Penny's
husband had restored for the car--and sold it on ebay for about $5400, last
month--and sold the car to Curt Vogt, if my understanding is correct. OTOH, unless
Curt uses more than one seller name on ebay, this seller name isn't the one I
    associate with him.

As for what the car's been bid up to THIS time, what can I say? TOO much
    money chasing TOO few cars?

There've been (at least) two 66 Hertz cars sold out of "private party" hands
here in the Portland area that're now carrying "ask" prices of $20K+ over what
I understand was paid to the "private party" sellers, here.

But then...I wasn't a party to, or privy to, either of the local sales "or
any details thereof", and certainly don't know anything about what has or has
not been done to the cars since they left this area (except for the swap-out &
subsequent sale of that wooden wheel).

    Dave
