Hello - I would like to gauge interest in replica button top fuel pumps for hipo mustangs & Shelbys that are driven, or for those who just don't want to wear out their vintage ones. Would something like this be of interest to you? With the high prices that original and NOS ones are going for, what would something like this be worth to you? (see picture) The front one in the picture is new, but has no Carter logo or parts number stampings. Button top fuel pumps were unique to 65/66 K mustangs, 65/66 GT-350s, and some 390 / 428 mustangs as welll, correct? Am I missing any? Thanks - Jim
Well, I'd buy a spare. But, you might also post this request at: www.saacforum.com The Hi-po mustang forum And the Concours Mustang Forum And the Vintage Mustang forum A great place to start with information is a fellow named Fred who once in a while rebuilds these but he only does them in batches. Do a search on the fuel pump in this forum to find his email address.
You might want to read some of the discussion on this subject over at the SAAC forum discussion area http://saacforum.com/index.php?topic=8904.msg75561;topicseen#msg75561 just so you can make a informed decision. Bob
