Hello, I have a question. I have a 66 shelby mustang and just spent a fortune restoring the body. Lots of new sheet metal including a new firewall. I'm doing the assembly and can't remember where the choke cable hole needs to be in the firewall. Yesterday I spent the hole day looking at pictures here and other blogs and they were all over the place. Behind accel rod, between accel mount bracket and master cyl., below wire plug for engine feed and above the heater box? I need pictures from an original shelby un touched firwall please. Any help greatly appreciated, Scott (aka) Shelbyfunk
If you send me a personal email with your email address I will send you a picture of my 65 and of my friend's 66. Texas Swede
I agree. On an undrilled firewall, this dimple marks the spot. Use the same grommet that goes around the fuel line in the lower part of the left-front fender apron.
