i cant find anyone with the right ans. it is about the size of a credit card sits on the pass. side under the hood blacktop of the fender on a 68 shelby 500kr 428 has 3 # in uper L corner go down a little an there are a sequence of #an letters move down to next line the same on 2nd. only the car color is on the end of this one .next line says shelby an #leters some r ps,p8 ,de ,it,tc now move down there are two letters FD what is this tag called
It called a 'buck' tag. You typed 'P6', I think that might be 'PB' for Power Brakes? PS=Power steering DE=Dual Exhaust IT=Interior Trim TC=Tilt column FD=Fold down seats etc, etc
100 % correct it is called abuck tag or a build tag. It was used at the factory to assemble the car and ensure the correct options were installed. All 1968 Shelbys should have a tag by the passenger side hood hinge. They are all very similar to each other.
