I'm not a fan of the looks, nor a fan of the interior. The rental I had was just plain ugly on the inside. Like it's been said before in this thread, the powertrain will probably be superior, but the sales won't compare. Ford will just need to up the ante in the horsepower department, and think about a stout IRS.

Neighbors got one! Very CHEAP inside, but that's a typical Government Motors Car. Personally, the Camaro looks very poorly built and not very sturdy.:thumbdown My neighbors put allot of work into his and it still look cheap IMHO. Guess you can't take the trailer trash out of the trailer!:laf:

Had the opportunity to sit in a 10 Camaro..........didn't like the feel, couldn't see clearly out the windows...........I'm only 5'10" and had to tilt the seat so that my head wouldn't hit the roof.................

When the camaro's first came back out, I was hoping they'd have done a better job in the "retro" aspect, like ford did with the Mustang, and I was really dissapointed in it. I even went to a dealership and took a close look at an SS inside and out. While I kind of like the outside, I hated the interior of it. Just looked very cheaply made, and the blind spots are terrible. My thoughts were, for the $38k sticker, I have to really love it.....and I don't!
That's when I decided I can get a used, low mileage GT500 for less money. That's when I started looking for, and found my '07 GT500. Very happy I made that choice!

one advantage of the camaro is that it looks wider. The mustang is a nice car but it looks a bit narrow. with a little lowering the suspension i hope it will look lower and wider

The Camaro looks wider only because it's squared off at both the front and rear. It's body panel give it that apperance. There's about 1" difference in width and wheelbase is for the Camaro is a bit over 5 " longer and 1" wider.

Weight is 3900 for the Mustang. The Z-28 will be a over 4000lbs. No advantage in looking wider especially when it handles like a PIG.

    I think it's GREAT!

Competition is good and moves Ford to do better which is good for all of us!

I'm hoping the Camaro gets better and better and Ford continues to respond in kind!

Yeah, just look at the Shelby GT or GT500 KR and you see a HUGE difference in the car's stance when lowered. It's seriously like a different car. Who knew 1.5" could do so much...oh wait, that's what she said!

I pulled up to a Camaro a while back and he looked over and said "I bet I can keep up with you for awhile"...now I have modded my GT500 and dyno'ed to 548 rwhp...so I hit the throttle and just spun the wheels while sitting next to him...he looked surprised...then my wife told him the SS on his car was for "Snake Snacky" and the camaros will always be such! of course he wanted to look my car over....

You can put lipstick on a pig, but it's still a pig. All I can say is "bring it on"; I'll be waiting.

That's why the Shelby GT500's have rear view mirrors; only there to see the front of the SS!!! The SS will always be looking at my back-side.

It will undoubtedly be seen in my 2010 GT Shelby's rear view mirror. I guess I'll have to Google it to see the rear. After all that is why they put the mirror in!!! Seriously though I have test driven the SS Camaro 2010 version and was thoroughly unimpressed. It doesn't even look nice.

I wonder if the Z28 has as great reliability as my ShelbyGt500????
With it's clutch, flywheel, throwout bearing, input-shaft, syncros, peeling coil cover paint, power window bonce, etc. that repeat, as Ford refuses to take care of it's H A L O car owners. You Chevy haters should read about how us 2007-2009, GT500 owners are treated. Just check all the clutch related forums.............

So the Camaro is outselling the Mustang for the first time. But the only one that I have tried that i could see out of in all directions was a convertible and I am 6'. I just love how people mix identifying the Camaro and the Challenger.
