I just purchased one from ebay. My wife wanted me to sell my zx-10r and get a car so I went with this Shelby. I am one of these guys that love to work on my stuff and add aftermarket things. I have done a lot of work on my zx-10r and I am kinda sad to sell it but I know I will love this car. I have already been looking at superchargers and was just wondering where is a good place for info on putting a supercharger on the 4.6 Shelby Gt? I know I will have to becareful because the 4.6 will not be able to handle a lot so I really want to research before i do this. By the way any other cool things you all can pass along for the cat let me know. I searched the site already and found some great info to start but was wondering if anyone had any experience in doing this?
The Whipple 550 hp kit is probably the most popular supercharger for the 4.6L. You can have it converted thru Shelby American, which includes a break upgrade, gauge package and new badging GT/SC. They also include the car in the Shelby Registry as a Shelby conversion. The cosst thru Shelby is around $12,000. Good luck and welcome to the forum.
