I am installing a new Blue Thunder Intake manifold and need to know if the torque settings are the same as the original '66 Shelby manifold.

The original Shelby Installation Manual states 15 ft/lbs. except the passenger very rear bolt which stays at 8 ft./lbs. due it being unsupported. Actually, all four corners look unsupported.

Is the Blue Thunder manifold beefier on the corners than the original. Can I torque all corners to 15 ft./lbs.?

didn't it come with torquing instructions?

if not I would call where you bought it to get the info from the horse's mouth.

a typical modern aluminum manifold ( I'm using summit brand for the example, which is a edlebrock knock off made under license I believe) calls for these specs: 25 ft/lbs. in stages on the inside bolts & 15 ft/lbs on all four corners.
