hi Everybody, drove a completely stock 2007 shelby GT 500 today. My first mustang ride ever! Was a bit disappointed because i drove to the dealer about 90 km from my home with the ford gt and must say there is a huge difference in power delivery, sound and ride quality. I hope to drive a 2011 because i think the new shelby will be much closer to my stock gt. If i put the performance package 750 hp on the mustang would that give about the same power delivery and subjective experience as my GT? what do you guys think?
750hp should get you moving but the GT500 will still have a higher center of gravity and weigh more than the Ford GT...among other things. That being said, I think you will notice a difference between the 2007 and the 2011.
drove today a shelby GT 500 with Borla exhaust and a mustang gt both from 2010 those are the cars I'm looking for! The shelby 500 comes close to the acceleration of the ford gt42 The 5l GT was equipped with a KW adjustable suspension and that is also a must the ride is so much improved. I'm only wondering if I should go for a standard 2011 shelby GT 500 with KW suspension or one with a 750 ford racing upgrade
