Sorry i have not been on for awhile. Been having fun playing this summer. Summer is over back to shelbys and mustangs again!!! In the assembly manuals ford lists the 67 floor drain plug as a c7 part number. The 68 and 69 is a c8 part number. What are the differences? chris
Here is a 1868 drain cover. They were originally galvanized and mounted domes, up. I think the earlier versions are flatter and less contoured. Check to make sure your plant used these, they may have differences between assembly plants, this is a 68 NJ.
The earlier style plugs are easy. The only problem is they usually come with screws, and the screws are wrong. Well, I've also seen them installed upside-down a lot, they should be installed dome side up.
Ok.I thought i had this figured out. Tonight I was working on my next project a 70 boss 302. I know it is not a shelby but, in the assembly manual it shows c7 part number floor drain plugs. What the heck? I had myself trained that 65-67 were the flater early style and 68-73 were the more dished. I have photos of a very orig. boss i did years ago but cant find right now. I am wanting to put carpet in. Educate me boys. chris
