I need help with the original camshaft spec's for a 1967 Shelby GT 500 with a 428 engine with 2-4bl carb's. Is the cam a hydraulic or mechanical lifter, lift or duration spec's or original part # , and if you know of a cam company that makes one. Any help will be appriciated.

It is a hydralic cam the same as the 390 GT or 428 CJ used from 67-70. you should be able to come up with a comparable grind using those engines as referance since they are more main stream then a 67 428 PI engine. I hope this helps. Bob

Take a moment to look through the Shelby owner's manual. The specs might be in there for the lift/overlap/ETC. Surprising amount of information inside.

The comp cams 268H is a good choice and very similar specs to the 390GT/CJ cam

Why mess with "similar" or "comparable" when the exact original C6OZ-B profile is available new?

Glazier/Nolan lists it in their current catalog.
