I had some work done to the hood of my car and the body shop damaged the sprayers. They ordered new ones from Shelby and Shelby confirmed that we received the correct parts, but the fluid is spraying over the convertible top. Does anyone know if these are adjustable? It doesn't appear that they can be taken out and then re-installed. We had this issue once before, and the Ford dealer replaced them, but they have no record of the part they ordered and my service guy is no longer with them. Apparently, the GT-H hood is different from the other Shelbys and requires a unique sprayer. Thanks for any help you can offer!
I had the same problem on my GT-H. I had my hood repainted and striped. The dealer broke the windshield washer nozzle retainers when they removed the nozzles. Shelby at first said that the washer nozzles for the GT-H were not availible .... later they sold me a set that when installed sprayed over the top. My solution was to purchase every aftermarket windshield washer nozzle set I could find. I did find a set of plain black nozzles at Autozone that fit perfectly (threaded shaft with a plastic nut). These nozzles have a brass insert (ball and socket) nozzle that can be redirected by putting a pin into the nozzle and re-aim. Looking at the new nozzles, you would never know that they are not original. I understand that there is another option (kit) out there to relocate the washer nozzles to the wiper arms .... however, that would mean filling in the original nozzle holes prior to prep and paint. Hope this helps. Rick (aka: Engineer)
Update! My wife (HertzSoGood) started this thread. I called our body shop and asked if they still had the sprayers they removed that worked. We're in luck! I won't be able to get them until late next week. I'll compare them and post what I find. In the mean time, Shelby is sending another pair.
Mystery solved!!! To recap, my wifes '07 GTH had wiper sprayers that sprayed over the roof. The dealer told us that they were not not adjustable and replaced them a little over a year ago. We just had the hood repainted and replaced all of the stripes. Once again the new sprayers wet the roof and not the glass. Well I checked the old set and yes, there are adjustable!!! Use a small pocket size screw driver above or below the hole, not a pin in the hole.
