Just registered and enjoy posts. Hope to make new Shelby friends. Love my 2010 Shelby GT500 convertible in performance white. Owned it for 14 months and have approximately 15K miles. Changed oil (@7500 mile intervals according to manual) DIY twice and enjoyed getting right hand, fingers and elbow all oiled-up when replacing oil filter. Don't mind the inconvenience knowing it was done right with correct oil (need the part number w/ "B" suffix); nothing else will do. All Motorcraft and got 10% discount after asking at my dealership.

I have been to Minnesota and back to Pa twice and have not seen another 2010 Shelby equipped in coupe or convertible. I registered car with Ford/Shelby but need to know how many convertibles in white that were built. I am not afraid to put miles on the beast; I bought it to enjoy. So far two-thirds of the 15K miles was traveling to my Viking state. Maximum full tank mileage at 65-75 mph interstate travel was 28 mpg. That's unbelievable with 540HP! OK, I only jumped on one SS Camaro and a BMW 3. I guess that's why there's a rear view mirror in the Shelby; it allows me to see what the front of these other cars look like. Around town and mix driving I get 11-12 mpg. Love the $$$ on the 93 octane; also payed the $1000 gas guzzler tax and the one $135 speeding fine. Need to get a radar detector. The state trooper was generous; he said he liked the car; he told me he was going 75 mph behind me when I entered the interstate from the ramp and he informed me that I completely walked away from him. It was dark and I noticed his lights behind me trying to catch up; so I pulled to the shoulder. He gave me a break! He underestimated my speed by 45 mph, and I need to remind you that he was pushing 75 mph. In a 65 mph speed zone in this state, you get zero tolerance if clocked at twice the posted speed limit. Well put it this way, I could have lost my license. He was young and understanding. I have not had a traffic violation in 45 years. At least that's what was recorded in Harrisburg when he checked.

Anyway I'm glad I got my first posting.

Hello from Dubuque, Iowa. I am a brand new member. I bought a 2008 Shelby GT500 from a private owner on Sept. 30th of this year. It had 498 miles on it when I bought it. It's a Ebony coupe - with Vapor over the top stripes.
