If a regular spare tire was usable, what size do you think it could be? Standard equivilent would be 225/60/15, the car currently has 235/60/15 on it (a friend has a Mach one with 245's on it). I guess I will end up with another can of fix-o-flat as a spare tire. >> >>>I actually bought a 15x7 Pantera Campy magnesium wheel to use as a spare in my GT-350 clone. I had a 215/65 tire mounted (same diameter as my 225/60s that I'm running) and only then discovered that it wouldn't fit through my trunk opening! As it turns out, it wouldn't fit on the car either--the center of the wheel is thicker than the Torque Thrust D wheel, and the studs wouldn't be long enough. Oh well....Fix-A-Flat will have to do. BTW, some types of Fix-A-Flat use PROPANE as the propellant. I have had two friends suffer extensive damage to their Panteras when their Fix-A-Flat canisters got hot and exploded! We have since learned to shop for and buy only those canisters that use a non-flammable propellent. Also, if you happen to use a flammable can to fix a tire, you had better tell whoever subsequently works on the tire about it. Several years ago, a gas station was destroyed and a worker killed because he was using a rat-tail file to clean up a hole left in a tire before plugging it. The tire was filled with propane, the file created a spark on the steel belt, and the tire exploded, which then set the gas pumps on fire too. D'OH! Mike
