Kenny, In the early '81-2 time frame I went through all the known '66 data in the Registry and IIRC 80 or so were listed then with known package trays. A lot more information has been put into the registry since then so I'm sure the number has edged upward, but I'm sure it's still on the order of a hundred or so. I've looked at half a dozen or more cars with an original package tray and they're all slightly different in how they were attached along the front edge to the side panels. Some had extra tabs others didn't; some had side lips; some trimed across the back, etc.. I rarely had a camera with me to try to keep track of all the minor variations, and never paid attention to the fiberglass reproduction trays. 6S296, my car, has a tray as well-- I guess I need to take pics of it to start off with. It was flawless when I got the car but several weeks in an uninsolated trailer in 120 degree heat changed a few things on the car. I'd think the tray is one of the rarer, if not the rarest, configurations of the '66 model year. Would like to get some pics of details of your car's. What's yout car's S/N? I read in a Shelby American Hot Rod issue magazine that less than 75 were produced. Any thoughts? Also, here are some neat pages from the past.
