I have had Mustangs for all of my adult life..Im 54. I have a brother that is overseas in the military and looking for a new 2011 Shelby. I do know my stuff on Mustang GT's but my knowledge is limited on Shelby's.
I am looking for a new shelby for my brother............he's wanting a gray shelby convertible but I can not find one............do the convertibles come in gray?
Is there a web site that has the options available for the 2012 shelby's?
    Thanx for any information

Im sure you could probly find a gray car with a convertible top. I would go to the closest ford dealership you know of that gets GT 500s and ask and see if they could find a 2011 convertible. As far as 2012 goes it will be a while before they release any info on those cars, but i would keep my eyes out for it. It is the 45th anniversery shelby so it would probly be worth waiting for. Hope this helps

Also, there is some kind of program the where YOU buy a new Ford Mustang GT, and the factory ships it to Shelby American in LasVegas for official transformation into a Shelby. See your Ford Dealer for details.

That is for a GT 350 and very expensive. You can have a GT 500 for less money when all is said and done.

And, GT 350's do not come in convertibles in 2011. Maybe 2012, but not 2011.

    First I would check out e bay I saw one . Next you could order a 2012 GT 350 in a convertible . If I couldn't get a 2011 GT 350 I was going to order a GT 350 convertible . Just a note it's not going be the same as 2011 GT .

Saw this and had to post.

I would definitely recommend the dealership above, Capital Ford in Raleigh. I bought my 11 Kona Blue GT500 from them on 8 Dec 2010...no one else would even bother looking for the color/option combination I wanted. They got me the exact car I wanted, got it there for free, and sold the car to me for a 54031 out the door with SVT PP and Navigation...with MSRP of 55330. Great price, great people who went the extra mile for me. My salesman there was Mark Keeler.

http://www.teamshelby.com/forums/index.php?/topic/61485-12-my-order-bank-info/ there is a .pdf with ordering guide for 2012 GT500s in the first post of this thread.

LOL dude i got my car at capital too!! The salesman was great and really gave us an amazing deal on a 2011 gt500 svt pp, red white stripes. I was about to drive down to atlanta but they were able to give me a better deal for the money. I would reccomend them hands down. So far my family has purchased 7 cars from them.
