Don't use adapters. They are aluminmu and weaken the attachment of the wheel to the hub. High speed cornering (nobody I know does this) or a good bump (pot hole) could cause the adapter to break and the wheel will come off. If you participate in open track events, definitely bolt the wheel directly to the hubs front and rear. While I am on the subject, never run less than the correct number of lug nuts on a wheel. I agree with Lee. I use wheel adapters for my front wheels (Weld rims) on my 67 drag mobile BUT I dont do high speed cornering or open track stuff. I know of several people who have used these adapters/spacers in track applications with no problems. I have a set for a Mustang.
