Hi everyone. I found this site while trying to answer a question for my son Matthew. I've raised him to appreciate Shelbys and for a homework assignment he needs to know what the original sales price of a '65 GT 350 was and how much one sells for today. For some reason I couldn't find the original '65 price on the net. I'm thinking it was about $4500 but we'd like to have the exact figure. And if anyone knows how much the new one sells for that would be great too. Thanks in advance!
The original list price was $4547. I would say the money right now on one falls between 175 for a car in need of restoration to about 1.1 mil for the best "R-Model" which was a factory competition car of which few were built. The new 2011 GT350 is $33,995 to Shelby on top of the price of the new Mustang that has to be converted (post title) pushing the total price to somewhere around $62,000 to $65,000. Bob
