How important is having the Shelby certificate, window sticker.
I am looking at buying a 2008 gt500, one car that I am looking at is the right color, low milage and impecable. Its priced right too! The seller does not have the Shelby certificate nor does he have the window stickers . He is the second owner and did not receive this documentation when he purchased it. I am wondering if I should walk away from this car because he is missing this, Or should I take advantage of the great deal? Can the certificat be purchased ?

I would go for the good deal as long as everything is ok with the car.

Yes it can be purchases for around 25 bucks.

Go for the good car, buy a late model car to enjoy it, not to collect it. It wont work out well if you are buying a late model car for its future collector car value. Just my honest 2 cents.

    Best,
    Vern

Thanks for the replies. It is exactly what I am doing. I already have some rare vintage mustangs (that I do not drive often enough), I must admit, I have been enjoying stealing my sons modified 5.0 coupe. A pure Blast!!!!!!!!! So my wife and I decided I should get a late model Shelby to drive on a regular basis wheather permitting, and stop stealing the kids car.

Call Ford Performance at 1 800 367 3788. Give them your VIN and a credit card for $45.00 and they will send you a certificate with your build dates and colors and numbers etc. You get a VIN decoder and totals for the years production. For an extra $10.00 they will give you a window sticker. These items are not necessary but are nice to have and frameable. www.mgwltd.com has some nice touches for the inside. Sequential turn signals and gas hood struts can be bought at American Muscle and CJ Pony parts. Good luck and congrats on the new to you beast.
