The SVT Performance Package features the all-new Goodyear Eagle F1 SuperCar G: 2 tires; (wider P265/40ZR19 front tires on 19x9.5 wheels). These are superb dry traction and precise handling tires; but not very practical for wet/snow/icy conditions (of which I just happened to be caught unexpectedly in this type of weather - and didn't get very far). Background: The Special Vehicle Team set this car up intentionally with this particular front tire and wheel configuration. I could go with a different (new) tire and wheel configuration on the front, but not sure of any repercussions of doing this. (The rear tires and wheels can be substituted easily, but the front tires are the problem). Team Shelby... Help! Question: I'm looking for a replacement tires (or tire and wheel suggestions) with a little more tread (not looking specifically for Mud and Snow tires), but can't seem to find them. Any suggestions?
Well, I found a solution for those interested... The wheels are the 1 piece Foose Legend SS style in chrome, 20x8.5 front and 20x10 rear and tire sizes will be 255/35/20 in front and 285/30/20 rear. For all-season high performance tires, I went with the Bridgestone Potenza RE960AS Pole Position and will be ready to ship within a few days. The package includes the 4 wheels, 4 tires, TPM sensors, mounting, balancing, Foose caps, lugs and shipping. (coming soon - 1 week). After they're on, I'll submit a picture. This isn't a plug for the company, They gave me all the advice, made me feel comfortable that they knew what I needed and knew what they were talking about. ...and I felt I got a great deal from them. www.customwheelsdirect.com CustomWheelsDirect.com 10221 Prospect Ave. Santee, CA 92071 USA (619)448-2560 ph. I probably going to go with the Alcoa Wheels (the one the is used on the Super snake) and other no so aggressive tires that at least can run in snow due to it tread pattern. I live in Tennessee so the bad whether is for 3 .5 months only.
