I am sorry, but I cannot locate the turn signal or emergency flasher cans under the dash of my '68 Shelby. I can hear the turn signal one, but I can't see it. Can anyone please give me the exact location for these? Thanks so much for any help.

Both are on the main harness behind the dash. One tends to be on the right hand side of the clutch pedal support as youlook at it, the other is by the ignition. If you are checking these make sure you have a number 323 in the turn signal plug- no substitutes

Thanks very much, finally found it. I was looking for a can or rectangular type, this was a black case solid state flasher unit from Cougars Unlimited. But it turns out that was not the problem, it flashes fine but the lights are still dim on the outboard units. Not the dynamite sticks either. The bulbs are not twisted in but rather seem to be welded in, and the housing is probably original, it is in sad shape. Guess I will have to replace the whole shootin'-match, harness, housing, etc. And I get to take the rear bumper off to get to it. Good fun for a few days.

Dim lights are usually caused by a bad ground. Remove the sockets from the housings, and clean the sockets, and housings real well. Also clean where the ground wires attach to the body. Pete sells tail light socket retains, they will keep the sockets tight in the housing. Pete also sells a very nice set of tail light harnesses.
