    Hi All,

I'm new here, so forgive if this is a dumb question. How do I know what wheels originally came on my 67 GT500? I know there were 2 different types... but I'm not sure how to tell which ones my car had?

    Thanks!

Actually 3 types...steel wheels with hubcaps, kelsey hayes magstars, and tenspokes.....First step would be to contact Dave Matthews(SAAC 67 shelby registrar)and see if he has original paperwork for your car..An original invoice would tell you if it came with "deluxe wheels"(i.e. magstars or ten spokes)...It seems like magstars were the deluxe wheels for the earlier cars and tenspokes for later ones(however with all things regarding 67s there are no rules which are etched in stone so.......)Good luck!!!!Trent

Thanks Trent! So I guess I can basically put any of the 3 styles on there, and still be ok? I'm trying to gather as much info as possible before I take on the daunting task of restoration...

    Thanks Again!

    Closergal,

If you let us know the last four digits of your Shelby VIN, we can tell what wheels were on the car when it left the factory. This information is in the new Shelby registry for about 99% of the '67 cars.

    Closergal,

According to the registry, 2954 came with aluminum 10 spokes. Hope this helps.
