This is a great event. Because there is well over 500 cars (they say 2000 entries expected). And it's free to spectators. Check the application to see if there's a fee for showing your car. Anyway, there's usually about 100 Shelby Mustangs, a few dozen Boss 'Stangs and Bullitts, about ten genuine Cobras (depending if there is no schedule conflict) and two to three times as many Cobra replicas, not mention '05-06 Ford GTs, Panteras, Mangustas, Tigers--I even wander over and look for a fast Maverick or other sleeper. And the hot rodded four wheel drives are always fun. Ford sometimes shows a prototype car here--a few years ago they showed the '07 Shelby Mustang prior to its intro. It's in a big parking lot bordered by Beach Blvd. and spectators can get in about 7:30 a.m. There's rather loud music playing (am I showing my age?) throughout. Sometimes famous personalities in the Ford world--this year it will be Parnelli Jones. You'll see me in my black 10-gallon hat, Levis and cowboy boots carryin' round artwork.
Here's the website with the application:

Is C. Shelby supposed to be at Knottsberry Farm event Sunday April 10th,2011

I know he often decides whether to attend on whether he feels that morning but I have seen him at that event before.Ford is only promising Parnelli Jones though they say the Shelby truck will be there will all their latest products on display. The weather is not so warm(by So Cal standards( around 69 deg. but at least it won't be raining.

Shelby was there Fabulous Fords at Knottsberry Sunday April 10th,2011

The weather was sunny and cool and I forgot to mention there were
Saleens (owned by private owners) but Saleen was showing cars under his new company name. Fortunately they toned down the speaker music which used to be too loud at former shows.
I didn't see Ford unveiling any prototype as they have in the past but maybe I missed it. The Pantera contingent was much larger than previous shows. The original Cobras seemed to be down to 3 or 4. Dr. Bruce Kawaguchi showed his restored Shelby driving school GT350.
At the private lunch for show displayers they promised Parnelli, who was there but a last minute showing was made by Shelby. I guess they didn't want him signing autographs out in the general public accessible areas or else there would be a line a mile long. I saw him sign a couple model cars and such tho for people already in that area.
