I've put a foam seal kit into my 66 Heater box as per the instructions in the sheet that came with kit.

I find that when I drive down the road and everything is in the off position, being that all levers are in the up position, I find that I get hot air blowing through the duct under the dash.

Can anyone tell me who to best adjust the cables to stop this air flowwing trhough until I push the knobs in the on position?

Well, if you are handy enough to replace the seals, I'm sure you can adjust the place where the duct doors stop. Here is what you do:
    1) put all the levers in the closed position.
    2) one at a time, trace the cable back to the heater box & defrost/floor duct.
    3) loosen the cable clamp to where you can move the cable housing along with the cable.
    4) move the cable & housing to where the door is closed, then tighten the clamp to lock the cable housing

Thanks for that. I thought there was more rocket science to it than that.

I did adjust the defrost cable last night and that one now works as it should.

I'll get on to the others tonite.

    Thanks again.

Nahh, this stuff was designed to be installed by auto workers who were in a hurry.

    Re: Heater Cable Adjustment

I've adjusted the cable all the way with what is available from the t andle in the control swtiches but the cable just won't run to the closed postion with the cable as it is set in the t handle on the dash board.

I haven't pulled out the control panel to see if the cable has been set up to high on the handle and therefore taking some length from the heater box.
