    I saw this exact same car wadded up at Lime Rock back in the early 90's. Curt Vogt was driving, lost control and hit a the barrier completely killing the front end! The very next year, same car, same driver, same corner, the EXACT same thing happened! Only that year we had a race at Watkins Glenn a WEEK later and they put a new front clip on the car and had it back on the race grid!! WOW! They amount of work that took was incredible! Some serious vintage racing for sure!

    I still have a bumper sticker someone made as a joke that has a cartoon sketch of car# 530 wrecked and it says warning I drive like Curt! Classic!

    I have a feeling that car was really driven pretty hard over it's lifespan! It was in great hands for many of those years but it's had a hard life. It's tough to say if that wasn't a truly great price for it. Great to see it back in great shape though! Regards, Matt
